Exélia Gautreau passed away on Monday February 23, 2004 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital at the age of 77.

Born in Gautreau Village, she was the daughter of the late Adolphe Melanson and the late Emma Belliveau. She worked at House Keeping for Institue de Memramcook until her retirement. She was a member of the Golden Age Club of Pré-d'en-Haut.

She is survived by her husband Emile Gautreau; one daughter, Rosa (Ronald) Bourgeois of Belliveau Village; four sons, Georges (Hélène) Gautreau of Belliveau Village, Romuald (Rita) Gautreau of Pré-d'en-Haut, Richard (Alice) Gautreau of Dieppe, Roland (Joanne) Gautreau of Pré-d'en-Haut; one sister, Irène (late Alyre) Gautreau of Gautreau Village; one brother, Yvon (Bernice) Melanson of Pré-d'en-Haut; seven grandchildren; Daniel, Gilles, Carole, Marc, Joline, Luc, Michel: one great grandchild, Jérémie and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Lorette and Eva; and four brothers, Eugène, Alyre, Fred, Gérald.


Resting at Dupuis Funeral Home with Funeral Mass to be held at Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Pré-d'en-Haut on Thursday, February 26, 2004 at 7:00 pm. Interment in the Parish Cemetery.
